Historical Background The pamphlet, "British Folly on the St. Joseph" by Dr. Todd E. Harburn, describes the massacre at Fort St. Joseph during Pontiac's uprising, May 25, 1763. The pamphlet contains information about Ensign Francis Schlosser, the commandant at Fort St. Joseph at the time of the massacre. A comprehensive bibliography is included.
